Like all rental car companies James Blond Ltd have more economy car’s than any other class of rental vehicle and with well over 150 economy cars we have your rental needs covered. We have manual or automatic 3, 4 or 5 door vehicles and unlike a number of other companies we charge the same no matter what you choose in this class.

Our economy cars are 1300 to 1500cc and are guaranteed to be no older than year 2000 but as we are constantly updating our fleet it is more likely that you will get a vehicle that is under 10 years old and with less than 150,000 kilometres on the speedometer, and our economy cars have been maintained to the highest standard in our own dedicated workshop so that you can be assured of renting a car that will stay on the road.

For those of you concerned with things like fuel economy then cars in this range probably average around 7.5 to 8 litres per 100 kilometres travelled in a combination of city and open road driving more detailed figures can be provided should you require them.

If you are arriving into Auckland from other parts of the world or New Zealand we can have your economy car waiting at either the domestic or international terminals of Auckland airport 365 days of the year no matter what time of the day or night you arrive. Or we can deliver it to your hotel or motel or you can simply collect it from our office.

James Blond specialise in meeting the needs of our customers and strive to go above and beyond your expectations by providing extra’s that you may need such as child seats or GPS units at prices well below those charged by other companies.

Our economy cars whilst fitted with 5 seat belts are recommended for either 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children as they are a smaller car. If you are trying to fit child seats then no more than 2 will fit in the rear it is therefore recommended that you take a midsize or larger if you need space for 3 car seats.

All of our rental rates include unlimited mileage, GST and standard insurance we are also one of the few car rental companies that offer you the chance to reduce your insurance excess to zero.
