In August 2009 we made the decision to do our bit for the environment and change the way we do business by introducing Bio Diesel into our business model and becoming the first rental company in Auckland to use Bio Diesel in it’s vehicles
Made from recycled sustainable vegetable oil (where it is used to cook potato chips) our Bio Diesel is a 20% blend with normal diesel. Our on site fuel tank allows us to refill all of our 50+ diesel vehicles and help make significant savings to the environment. By renting your truck or van from James Blond you are doing your bit towards cutting greenhouse gasses.
Over the next few months we hope to roll out one or two vehicles that will run on 100% Bio Diesel and be available to rent on a local basis only so that we can monitor how these run, we will post updates on this website once it’s up and running.
